We are an Ottawa-based company with heart and soul. We believe that by cooking and eating together, we can feel more connected to one another and live better, healthier lives.
Our mission is to make nutritious and delicious home cooking easy and convenient for everyone.
We source our ingredients from local farms and suppliers. By purchasing from Zestible, you receive local products that are much fresher and offer better value than what you would find at the grocery store.
All our recipes are developed by our executive chef and reviewed by our dietitian. This dynamic duo has your health at heart. They make sure to provide a variety of flavours and options, while considering the nutritional value of each meal.
We believe that a meal made with whole, fresh ingredients is the most delicious. Our recipes are chock full of goodness, while celebrating simplicity.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That said, Zestible’s parts are pretty fantastic. None of this could be brought to you without our dedicated team of professionals and food lovers.
As the founder and CEO of Zestible, Val’s passion for cooking and healthy eating inspired the creation of this company. Growing up in an Italian-Canadian family, she was taught that the family dinner was the most important part of the day. And now, as she raises her own young family, she strives to uphold that tradition. Soon after her kids were born she realized what a struggle it is to plan, cook and eat healthy meals every night. Zestible was her solution.
Val has always had a personal mission to contribute to making the world a better place. Val spent years working in human rights and international development before going back to school to study business. With this new tool belt of skills, but the same personal mission, she built Zestible to help families have convenient access to healthy, local food every day.
Severine Kavanaugh is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia and adores seafood! She graduated from the Culinary Institute of Canada in 2006, made her way to Ontario in 2013 and is in love with the beautiful valley produce this region has to offer. Severine has had the opportunity to work with many great chefs throughout her career, and hopes to make a name for herself. She’s obsessed with comfort food, cats, and music. When she isn’t cooking, she’s playing bass in her punk n’ roll band or scratching a washboard with her bluegrass band. Severine’s favourite dish to make is a nice, saucy Chicken Madras. To her, happiness is curry simmering on the stove all afternoon.
